"Anders Fogh Rasmussen Hello Friends, I just delivered a speech in Sofia. I was very pleased to see so many young people in the audience. It is clear to me that, for the newer members of NATO, defence of freedom and individual liberty is something they understand very well - because they remember clearly when they had neither. Anders"

How true, and something we tend to take for granted in the "old western world".

What Mr. Rasmussen mentions in his post here is very true. Sometimes people in the old EU Member States take freedom of speech and individual liberties for granted, but here in Eastern Europe we still remember the time when it was forbidden to express your own opinion.
